The Landlord Automatic Transfer of Service Program makes managing electric bills for residential rental properties easy. When a tenant requests a disconnection of service, their electric bill seamlessly transfers to the landlord listed on the agreement. This service means fewer interruptions and less hassle for property owners, allowing them to focus on other aspects of property management.

It’s important to note that this agreement does not prevent service disconnection due to unpaid bills by the tenant.

Please be aware that the landlord’s account must be current and in good standing to participate in the program. Accounts with a past due or uncollectable balance cannot be enrolled. Additionally, landlords must register their account with SmartHub (FKEC’s online account management tool) to receive transfer notifications via email. It’s the landlord’s responsibility to maintain a valid email address for communication.

How to Enroll:

  1. Download the Form: Landlord Automatic Transfer of Service form.
  2. Complete the Form: Fill out all necessary fields accurately and comprehensively. Include all service addresses you wish to enroll in the program.
  3. Submit the Form: Mail the completed form to PO Box 377, Tavernier, FL 33070, or email it to tavfrontoffice@fkec.com.

Upon approval, you’ll receive an email confirming your enrollment. We’ll also inform you if a residential billing deposit is required for each meter.
