FKEC 2019 Cover Photo Contest

Florida Keys Electric Cooperative is hosting a Florida Currents Cover Photo contest, with winning entries earning a $25 FKEC electric bill gift certificate.Deadline to submit photos for the contest is Friday, March 22, 2019

We invite hobbyists and professionals photographers alike to send us your creative entries that capture the beauty of our FKEC service territory. This is our third time offering the contest and our members never disappoint.
Contest Rules:

  • Each FKEC member may submit up to five photos.
  • All submissions must include the photographer’s name and location of the photo. For FKEC contact purposes only, please include your email and phone number.
  • All submitted photos must be taken within FKEC’s service territory (Monroe-Dade County Line to the Seven Mile Bridge).
  • The contest is only open to Florida Keys Electric Cooperative members.
  • Submissions must be high-resolution, vertical digital images in .jpg or .pdf format, sized to approximately 8-inches wide by 10-inches tall.
  • Prints will not be accepted.
  • The contest will be judged by Florida Currents editors.

Email your high-resolution photos to news@FKEC.com with subject line “photo contest.” Winning photos will be featured on the cover of the FKEC edition of Florida Currents magazine.

To improve your chances of winning:

  • Please read the contest rules.
  • Make sure your photos meet the resolution standards required. Note, the cover is always vertical, horizontal photos may not work.
  • Check your focus. Even slightly out-of-focus images will not make the cut.

By submitting photos to this contest, you give FKEC the right to use those photos on the cover of or in Florida Currents magazine and on the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative website and social media.
