Before an outage occurs, make sure FKEC has all of your current
phone numbers, including cell phone numbers. Doing this expedites
outage reporting and response.
When
you call FKEC to report an outage, the Co-op’s automatic
computer system matches your phone number with your service address.
It then references FKEC’s database to determine which equipment
all current outage reports have in common. This helps determine
the likely cause and location of damage so line crews spend less
time searching for the cause.
Why?
It allows the Co-op to determine the cause and location of outages
faster and saves you time on the phone.
Can I Use A Cell Phone?
Yes! You can register any two phone numbers you would call from
to report an outage - including cell phones.
